This cross if designed with a motif of entwined Ginko leaves. The Ginkgo tree is a living fossil, the only example of its species to survive after the Pliocene. Its leaves have long been used for medicinal purposes, most commonly for memory enhancement. The tree is exceptionally hardy - the most extreme example seen in Heroshima, Japan, where six trees  growing between 1-2 km from the 1945 atom bomb explosion were among the few living things in the area to survive the blast. The Ginkgos, though charred, survived and were soon healthy again and are alive to this day.

Dimensions: 2" x 7/8"
This cross is a symbol of the tenacity of memory - the accumulated information that is handed down through the centuries and, on a personal level, largely creates who we are.
