This cross is a reproduction of an 18th century cross from Bolivia. Missionaries who came to the New World brought with them crosses which were eventually copied and recast by native craftsmen. This particular cross is molded directly  from an antique native casting. It  was part of a rosary, and is reproduced in bronze and sterling silver.
