 The Church of Sainte-Germain de Pres is located on the river Seine at #3 Place du Louvre. It was founded in the 7th century. St. Germain was born in Auxerre, France in 380 and is the patron saint of that city. He died in Ravenna, Italy in 448. This cross was inspired by the magnificent design of the main altar railing.

   Germaine was canonized as patron saint of people with disabilities and those who have been abused or abandoned.
